From the Sep 17, 2024 e-EditionSimple Possession, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 7, he stopped a vehicle on Buena Vista Road that was being operated by Vasquez Yarbough, 64, of Huntingdon, because he had an active warrant on Mr. Yarbrough for Criminal Simulation. During the traffic stop Mr. Yarbrough gave consent to search through the vehicle. During the search, marijuana was found inside a Swisher Sweet package that weighed about 1 gram. Yarbough was transported to Carroll County Jail for Marijuana Possession and Criminal Simulation. On September 6, Officer Allen was dispatched to Murphy for someone passing a fake $100 bill. Upon arrival he saw Yarbrough hand a fake $100 bill to the cashier on video footage.
Sex Offender Registration Violation — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 6, he issued a warrant for Marty Lynn Thompson, 52, of Huntingdon, for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. Thompson was scheduled to come in on September 6 and failed to show or call. On September 7, Thompson was picked up and taken to Carroll County Jail.
Sex Offender Registration Violation — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 6, he issued a warrant for Howard Glyn Corder, 70, of Huntingdon, for Violation of Sex Offender Registry. Corder was scheduled to come see Officer Allen and didn’t show or call on his scheduled date. On September 7, Mr. Corder was picked up and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Revoked/Suspended, Speeding — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 7, he stopped a vehicle on Highway 22 south for speeding 71 in a 55-mph zone. The driver, Robert Robertson, 56, had a suspended driver’s license and was transported to Carroll County Jail.
