Two from Huntingdon Earn UTM Media Honors

MARTIN (April 1) — The University of Tennessee at Martin recently held its annual Mass Media and Strategic Communication Awards Ceremony in the Russell Duncan Ballroom of the Boling University Center. Two students from Huntingdon were honored at the event.
Jacob Sullivan, a senior mass media and strategic communication major from Huntingdon, received the West Tennessee PBS Scholarship from Rodney Freed, instructor of mass media and strategic communication. Sullivan also earned the Gary Steinke Scholarship.
Aubrey Abbott, a sophomore mass media and strategic communication major from Huntingdon, received the Media Design Award for outstanding media design from Dr. Tracy Rutledge, professor of mass media and strategic communication.
The honors came with cash awards for both students.
