Idle Rebels Keep Top Spot in Class 1A
From the Oct 21, 2025 e-EditionNASHVILLE (October 20) — The Tennessee Sports Writers Association and USA Today Network released new football rankings Monday after Week 9 with little movement as many teams were idle.
McKenzie (7-1) holds steady at number one in Class 1A, ahead of South Pittsburg (7-1), who received three first place votes to McKenzie's 14. Dresden's (6-2) rank is also unchanged at number six. South Fulton (7-1) rebounded from their first loss and improved one spot to number eight.
In Class 2A, undefeated Milan (8-0) remains at the top with 12 first-place votes. East Robertson (8-0, five first-place votes) and Peabody (8-0) are ranked second and third, respectively. Huntingdon (7-1) holds the number five spot for the fifth consecutive week.
Westview (7-0) is the unanimous number one in Class 3A.
