McKenzie Industrial Board Receives Training from TVA

McKenzie (June 27) — Members of the McKenzie Industrial Board received training in economic development from associates of the Tennessee Valley Authority on Thursday, June 27.
Eugene Johnson and Alex Sadler attended the monthly meeting to speak about recruiting and retaining industries in a community.
TVA partners with local communities by providing community data, financing, and reliable electricity.
The Board recently received training from the Municipal Technical Advisory Service, a division of the University of Tennessee.
Craig Hobson was welcomed to the Board as the newest member. He was appointed in June by McKenzie Mayor Ryan Griffin and affirmed by members of the McKenzie City Council.
The Board is self-funded and receives no local government funds. Monica Heath is the executive director of the McKenzie Industrial Board and the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce.
