SPRING HILL, Tenn. (May 11) — Former McKenzie residents Jamie, Stephen and Jack Brown were recently recognized for supporting firefighters in their new community.

Jack Brown donated a pork butt and all the trimmings from his recent Boy Scout fundraiser to crews at Spring Hill Fire Department Station 4 on Saturday, May 1.

The department praised Jack and his family in a social media post.

“Since moving to Spring Hill in December of 2024, Jack has watched Station 4 take shape piece by piece each time his family traveled along Duplex Road,” the department said. “We learned last Saturday just how much the station and the firefighters assigned there meant to him. Wanting to give back in his own way, Jack donated a pork butt along with all the trimmings from his recent Scout pork butt sale to the crews at Station 4.

“It is always special to see the support from our community, but it means even more when it comes from a young man with such a servant’s heart. Thank you, Jack, for thinking of us and for your generosity. We are grateful to have community members like you and your family supporting the Spring Hill Fire Department.”
