HUNTINGDON (June 23) — The community gathered for an unforgettable evening of live music as The Jackson Symphony presented “Symphony on the Move” on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m. This free, family-friendly outdoor concert was open to the public and brought world-class music directly into the heart of the community.

The instrumentalists included Dr. Keith Herris of McKenzie as keyboardist, James Shields on bass guitar, Aaron Brock on guitar, Doug Owens on saxophone, and Joshua Carswell as the vocalist. This group of musicians have nine performances as a small ensemble and also perform with the larger Jackson Symphony.

Patrons gathered on the street in front of the Carroll County Courthouse to enjoy the music.

Set in a relaxed, open-air setting, guests brought lawn chairs to settle in for an evening of music under the summer sky. A food truck was available on-site throughout the performance.

The evening featured a special performance by acclaimed vocalist Joshua Carswell, known for his dynamic stage presence, expressive tenor voice, and genre-defying original work.

With a decade of touring experience and multiple vocal honors, Carswell continued to be recognized for his ability to connect deeply with audiences through both power and intimacy.

This event was free and open to the public, offering a vibrant celebration of music, community, and summer evenings shared together.
