Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Melton was born March 10, 1945, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Arthur and Ila (French) Melton. He owned and operated JM Well Service until his health started failing, at which point he turned over operations to his son, Kaleb.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra Melton, two daughters, Debbie Atkins (Dr. Keith) of Parsons and Cindy Miller (Gary) of Jackson, a son, Kaleb Coleman (Allison) of Huntingdon, three grandchildren, Halie Anglin (Dalton), Dr. Karrington Boyd (Mason) and Neeley Atkins, and two great-grandchildren, Saydee and Grayson Anglin.
