From the Aug 12, 2025 e-EditionMr. James “Jim” Crockett, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 7, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services are on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Chris King officiating, with interment to follow in Flatwoods Cemetery in Camden.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM until time of service.
Mr. Crockett was born December 31, 1943 in Big Sandy, Tennessee to the late Alexander Campbell Crockett and Mildred Cagle Crockett. He was the owner of Jim’s Electronics and a member of Huntington Church of Christ. He also served in the United States Air Force. He later worked at Norandal as senior electrician, then was promoted to electrical maintenance planner. He loved watching the Braves, walking, regardless of the weather, and studying the Bible. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Crockett, and two sisters, Alice Arnold and Posetta Mayo.
He is survived by, a daughter, Diana Walker (Matthew) of Huntingdon, a son, Larry Crockett (Gina) of Nashville, a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Beard, of Knoxville, three grandchildren, Jessica Crockett, Jamie Lyn Crockett, and Hannah Neely, a nephew, Alex Hill, and two nieces Ramona Martin and Julie Roland.
