From the Jan 13, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Mr. James Herrold Vaughn, 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Friday, January 9, 2026, at his home.
Graveside services were 2:00 PM Sunday January 11, 2026 at Hebron Cemetery with Brother William Jones and Brother David Culp officiating.
Mr. Vaughn was born January 20, 1941, to the late James Ernest Vaughn and Minnie Ellis Vaughn in Detroit, Michigan, and his family moved back to Huntingdon when he was a young child. He was the oldest of 15 children. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bill, Carter, Joe, Mike, Ricky, sister Carolyn and daughter-in-law, Kelli.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patsy Christian Vaughn; two children, Anthony Vaughn (fiancé Susie) and Tina Turner (Phil); two grandchildren, Peyton Turner (Lindsey) and Riley Vaughn; two great-grandchildren, Beau and Andi Lou Turner; sisters Virginia Lunsford, Patsy Smith, Alice Christian, Reni Davenport, Peggy Ellis and Tammy Kyle; brothers Kenny Vaughn and David Vaughn; and brother-in-law, Jamie Christian.
Herrold was a tractor mechanic by trade, and he worked at Foster Brothers Equipment Co. for nearly 30 years.
