From the Dec 3, 2024 e-EditionHUNTINGDON - Mrs. Janet Gale Baker, 62, of Huntingdon, Tenn. died at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on November 25, 2024.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Friday November 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Brother Bryan Oakes to officiate.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Friday November 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Baker was born October 15, 1962 to the late Norma J. Foster and Leon Oakes. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Anthony “Tony” Baker. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Burt (Shelly) Baker and Blake (Melissa) Baker, both of Huntingdon, Tennessee; brother, Bryan (Mary) Oakes of Huntingdon, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Chesney Baker, Bennett Baker, Beau Baker, Reid Baker, and Charlie Jo Baker.
