McKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Janet Louise Baumgardner are on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. at McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Baumgardner, 76, died at Cherrywood Post Acute on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was a member of McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Beta Sigma Pi, and a retired school teacher for the Huntingdon Special School District.
She was born on January 18, 1949, in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Gordon and Jo Louise Rhodes Pinson.
She is survived by her husband, John D. Baumgardner of McKenzie, two daughters, Johnna (Casey) Toombs of McKenzie and Jennifer (Avi) Warner of Alameda, California, a brother, Clyde Stanley Barnes of Knoxville, and four grandchildren, Brett Toombs, Marlee Toombs, Ori Warner, and Sadie Beth Warner.
In lieu of flowers or for anyone considering a memorial gift, the family suggests McKenzie Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
