From the Jun 23, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Jerry D. Weatherford are on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mr. Weatherford, 89, died at Dogwood Pointe Senior Living on June 21, 2026. Born in Trezevant, Tenn. on June 30, 1936, to Charlie and Odillion Bateman Weatherford. He was a shipping inspector at Milan Arsenal, a funeral assistant at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home and a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son, Kelly (Clara) Weatherford, three granddaughters, Julyeanne Weatherford (Garrett Maria), Anna Weatherford, and Charli Weatherford, and a brother, Joe Pat (Brenda) Weatherford.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Highfill Weatherford, and a brother, Jimmy Weatherford. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home.
