From the Mar 4, 2025 e-EditionCLARKSBURG - Mr. Jimmy Maxwell Sr., 73, of Clarksburg, Tennessee died Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Smothers officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
Mr. Maxwell was born April 28, 1951 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Robert Lee “Carl” Maxwell and Etta Marie (Wilson) Coy. He worked as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Mary Michelle Maxwell, a brother, Danny Maxwell, three step-sisters and two step-brothers.
He is survived by, three daughters, Michele Zinkel, Stacy Hyatt (Jeff) both of Clarksburg, Tracy Benefield (Mike) of Bruceton, one son, Jimmy Maxwell Jr. (Penny) of Clarksburg, seven sisters, Sue Chapin of Columbia, , Virginia Cole of Senath, Missouri, Sheila Mitchell of Paragould, Arkansas, Rita Tune of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, twin sister Bessie Carson of Blytheville, Arkansas, Carla Finley of Paragould, Arkansas, Penny Slochowsky of Murfreesboro, three step-sisters, three brothers, Ronnie Maxwell, Jackie Maxwell both of Cedar Grove, Chuck Wimberly of Ft. Myers, Florida, and one step-brother. He also leaves ten grandchildren, Jamie, Stephanie, Roy, Jimmy III, Amber, Tiffany, Taylor, Tara, Kayla, Ethan, and twelve great-grandchildren.
