From the Feb 10, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Joe E. Anderson are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mr. Anderson, 67, died on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at his residence. He retired from Walmart as a sales associate in the hunting and outdoor departments, was a member of McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golf, but his greatest time was spent with his grandchildren. He was born on April 7, 1958, in McKenzie to Ervin and Betty Russell Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lemonds Anderson, two children, John (Leslie) French of Jackson and Beth (Jason) Mathis of McKenzie, his mother, Betty Anderson, four grandchildren, Sami Mathis, Lane Mathis, Olivia French and Brooks French, a sister, Susan Anderson, and nephew Blake Clark.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ervin Anderson, and his brother, Ricky Anderson.
