From the Oct 21, 2025 e-EditionFuneral services for Joyce Marie Hicks, 89, of Trezevant, are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. Visitation with the family is Monday from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9:30 until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hicks was born July 12, 1936, in Atwood to the late Jim and Beular Mann Arrington. She died October 17, 2025, at The Waters of McKenzie.
Mrs. Joyce was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trezevant. She retired from HIS in Trezevant where she worked as a quality supervisor. She and her late husband Ben, loved to travel and camp. Mrs. Joyce will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by her daughter, Beverly Hill and husband, JT of Gleason; grandchildren, Heather Gurthrie and Bridget Barrett; great grandchildren, Shelby Gurthrie, Kayla Charriez, and Bensyn Barrett; great grandchildren, Arlo Charriez and Stella Charriez; and a brother-in-law, Glen Hicks.
Besides her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Hicks, and brothers, James Edward Arrington and Ray Arrington.
