From the May 5, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Prichard Sellers are on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the church from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service time. Interment will follow at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Sellers, 90, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Waverly, Tenn., on March 5, 1936, to Fred and Mabel Reeves Prichard. She was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ for over 70 years and was a lifetime seamstress for multiple local factories, including Carhartt, Oshkosh, The Pajama Factory, and Wen-Sue.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Linda) Sellers and Teresa (Ronnie) Smith, both of McKenzie, a brother, Wayne Prichard of McLemoresville, three grandchildren, Brandon (Ashley) Sellers, Kelsey (Kyle) Seavers, and Hunter Smith, all of McKenzie, and five great-grandchildren, Sophie, Baylor, and Decker Sellers and Kase and Kohen Seavers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, James Sellers, and three brothers, Joe David Prichard, Mac Prichard, and James Prichard.
