From the Oct 28, 2025 e-EditionMrs. Judy Gail Barnhart, 80, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services are Friday, October 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Mixie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers who will serve are Warner Thomas, Ross Thomas, Aaron Floyd, Jaggar Floyd, Josh Hastings, Jason Burlison, and Ashtyn Donald.
Mrs. Barnhart was born August 22, 1945, in Huntingdon, to the late Aaron Rupert Thomas and Ada Corinne (Fields) Thomas. She worked for the Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the Mixie Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnhart, a son, Joseph Lee Floyd, a granddaughter, Samantha Jo Floyd, and three sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Sullivan, of Huntingdon, a son, Dale Thomas (Janet) of Jackson, a sister, Nancy Barnhart, of Hollow Rock, two brothers, Jackie Thomas (Brenda) of Huntingdon, Noel Thomas (Linda) of Murray, Kentucky. She also leaves six grandchildren, Nicole Hastings (Josh), Randy Luther (Kattie), Aaron Floyd (Shelby), Warner Thomas (Ashley) Ross Thomas, and Jaggar Floyd, as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ashtyn, Lireal, Jonah, Elijah, Makennah, Charlotte, Della, Emilia, and Brettlee.
