49th Annual Freedom Festival
Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the 49th annual Freedom Festival on Thursday, July 4 with a full lineup of events including a parade, hay rides, cake walk, money hunt, auction, tug-o-war, music, bingo, corn hole tournament and fireworks show at 9 p.m. Lots of games and food available. See ad on page 6 of this week’s edition.
McLemoresville
McLemoresville 4th of July Celebration
The Town of McLemoresville is hosting its annual Independence Day celebration on the square on Thursday, July 4 with a parade, food, fun, music and fireworks. The parade begins at 6 p.m. (lineup at 5:30 p.m.) Afterwards there will be a cake walk and fun activities. The James Greer Band will be performing. Fireworks show at dark. It promises to be one of the biggest fireworks shows ever for the town.

McKenzie Fireworks Show
The annual fireworks show is at dusk at City Park, Como Street. Food trucks will be available including Hawg County Cookers Barbecue, hamburgers, lemonade. The city’s train will provide transportation since automobiles are not allowed in the fireworks area.
Park closes to incoming traffic at 4:30 p.m.
McKenzie Church of Christ — July 5
Block Party starts at 4 p.m. with sports activities.
Food is served at 6 p.m.
Fireworks at 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Paris Landing
Paris Landing State Park will be hosting its annual fireworks show on Thursday, July 4 at dark. This event is sponsored by the Henry County Tourism Authority! Stop by when it gets dark to witness a spectacular display you won’t want to miss.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Independence Day Celebration
Hollow Rock Fire Department is celebrating Independence Day with a fireworks show on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School behind the football practice field. Caleb’s Hill and friends will provide music and food trucks will be available. Fireworks at dark. Bring your lawn chair/ blanket and your appetite to enjoy the greatest display of fireworks.

Martin Loves America Free Fireworks Show
Join the City of Martin as it celebrates the 4th of July with the biggest bang in Northwest Tennessee at its Martin Loves America, free Fireworks Show on Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m. at Martin Recreational Complex, 8457 Highway 45 E South. Bring a picnic, chairs, and refreshments for the whole family and relax in the grass or watch and listen from your vehicle.
The city encourages you to make sure to post and share pictures using #MartinTN and #MartinLovesAmerica throughout the night! The Martin Rec Complex also offers a walking trail, pond for fishing, playgrounds, and a fenced in dog park. Make plans to bring the whole family and enjoy your 4th of July holiday with them!

Dresden Freedom & Fireworks Celebration at Weakley County Rehab & Nursing
On Wednesday, July 3 at 8 p.m. bring your family and join the fun at Weakley County Rehab & Nursing Center’s annual fireworks show in the rear parking lot! Weakley County Rehab and Nursing is located at 700 Weakley County Nursing Home Rd in Dresden, Tenn. Please remember to bring your lawn chairs.
