Keelan Sneed Receives Tennessee Grocers Scholarship

McKENZIE — The Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation recently awarded Keelan Sneed of McKenzie with a Smith & Woods Management Scholarship in the amount of $1,300.
Sneed, a 2026 graduate of McKenzie High School, has worked at E.W. James & Sons in McKenzie since he was 14 years old. He plans to attend The University of Tennessee at Martin and major in K-5 elementary education.
"We are so proud of Keelan and all of our scholarship recipients," said Rob Ikard, TGCSA president. "These awards represent an investment in the future of Tennessee's food industry by supporting talented students as they pursue their educational and career goals."
The Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation awarded 102 scholarships totaling $133,150
this year to students connected to Tennessee's grocery and convenience store industry.
Scholarship recipients are employees of TGCSA member companies or the children or spouses of full-time employees of member companies.
The Smith & Woods Management Scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and a commitment to excellence. Through scholarships like this, the foundation continues its mission of investing in the next generation of leaders for Tennessee's food industry.
