Lady Bulldogs Fall to Dresden, 6-2
From the Apr 7, 2026 e-EditionGLEASON (March 30) — Gleason High School hosted Dresden Monday for a district softball contest. The visiting Lady Lions enjoyed a big second inning en route to a 6-2 win.
Dresden scored five runs in the top of the second and added one in the fourth. Gleason's two runs came in the home half of the fourth.
Lady Lion Emma Parham was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases. Riley Brooks was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Gracie Adams was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. Jacie West was 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base. Kendall Melton was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Kayden Barnett and Molly Robinson were each 1-for-4.
Lady Bulldog Kinley Baumgartel was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Kadence Witherspoon was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Zoe Healy was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. Olivia Scarbrough was 1-for-3 with a walk. Kristiana Addison and Sophie Beasley were each 1-for-3. Ava Bennett was 1-for-4.
Jacie West earned the complete-game win for Dresden, allowing two earned runs on ten hits while walking one and striking out ten.
Olivia Scarbrough took the complete-game loss for Gleason, allowing six earned runs on 11 hits while walking three and striking out 11.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
