Lady Cats Fall to John Brown University
From the Aug 27, 2024 e-EditionSILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — The Bethel Lady Wildcats hit the road for the second time this season traveling to John Brown University Saturday.
The No. 15 Cats gave up three first period goals and fell to the No. 7 Golden Eagles 3-1.
JBU moved to 1-1 on the year while Bethel dropped to 1-2 on the season.
The Golden Eagles scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-nil margin.
Bethel’s Zainab Manneh on an assist by Carla Cebollada made it 3-1 at the break.
The Cats had a 14-10 advantage in shots. Each squad finished with six shots on goal.
The Lady Cats return to action Saturday taking on Thomas University in Mobile, Alabama at 7 p.m. Bethel plays Mobile Monday September 2.
