HUNTINGDON (September 23) — McKenzie's Abigail Wallace set a venue record during Tuesday's cross country meet hosted by Huntingdon High School.
Wallace's first-place finish came in at 19:16, breaking the girls' record previously held by Dresden's Loral Winn, who now competes for Ole Miss.
Lady Rebel Autumn Haywood finished in fifth, and the team, rounded out by Morgan Little, Katelyn Prather and Ryleigh Rogers, earned fourth.
Many of the full squad's runners hit personal bests at the meet.
The Rebels didn't earn any medals, but Reed Little, Liam Moore and Ripken Thompson all set new personal bests.
The teams travel Tuesday for a meet at TCA in Jackson.
