Lady Rebels End Season with Loss to Houston County
From the May 13, 2025 e-EditionERIN (May 6) — The McKenzie High School Lady Rebels saw their season end Tuesday with a 5-2 loss to Houston County in the District 12A Softball Tournament.
The Lady Irish struck first with two runs each in the bottom of the first and second innings and added one in the third. A late McKenzie rally came up short with a run each in the sixth and seventh frames.
Lady Rebel Aurora Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Maggie Hall went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kailie Hudgins was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.
Aurora Johnson took the complete-game loss for McKenzie, allowing five earned runs on ten hits while striking out six and walking none.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
