Lady Rebels Fall to Waverly on Senior Night

McKENZIE (April 29) — McKenzie High School softball hosted Waverly Tuesday and celebrated Senior Night. The Lady Tigers scored in each inning for a 13-0 win.
Prior to the game, two Lady Rebel seniors were honored on the field, joined by parents. Ady Freeman was escorted by her mother Angie Freeman, and Aubrey Jackson was escorted by her parents Heather and Brady Jackson.
Waverly seniors Allison Glatt, Salem Odell and Ragan Stewart were also recognized and presented a gift by Freeman and Jackson.
The Lady Tigers scored three runs in the first, two in the second, five in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth for the shutout.
Lady Rebel Aurora Johnson was 2-for-2. Aubrey Jackson and Braylin Auvenshine were each 1-for-2.
Johnson got the start for McKenzie, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) on ten hits while striking out three and walking two in four innings. Auvenshine pitched the final frame, allowing one unearned run on no hits or walks while striking out one.
