Littleton Homer Lifts Lady Rebels Over Houston County in Extras
From the Mar 17, 2026 e-EditionERIN (March 13) — McKenzie High School traveled Friday for a district softball contest against Houston County. Tied 1-1 after regulation, it took a three-run home run by Addyson Littleton in the ninth to secure a 4-1 win for the Lady Rebels.
McKenzie struck first with a run in the top of the second, and the Lady Irish tied it in the bottom of the fourth. Littleton’s homer drove in the final three runs in the top of the ninth.
Lady Rebel Addyson Littleton was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Kynadie Brown was 2-for-5 with a double. Haylee Beard was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Braylin Auvenshine was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Maggie Hall was 1-for-4. Kailie Hudgins was 1-for-5.
Lady Irish Preslee Moore was 2-for-4. Madelynn Brooks was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored. Addie Horn was 1-for-4 with a double. Brilee Anderson was 1-for-4. Peyton Brooks was 0-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases.
Aurora Johnson earned the complete-game win in the circle for McKenzie, allowing one unearned run on five hits while walking two and striking out five in nine innings.
Brilee Anderson took the complete-game loss for Houston County, allowing four earned runs on nine hits while walking one and striking out 11 in nine innings.
