Lady Tigers Eliminate Lady Rebels
From the May 12, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE (May 5) — McKenzie High School's softball season came to an end Tuesday with an 11-1 loss to the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Lady Tigers on the second day of the District 12A Softball Tournament.
Central struck first with a run in the bottom of the second inning. McKenzie tied it in the top of the fourth, but the Lady Tigers erupted for seven runs in the home half, then added three in the fifth to end the game early.
Lady Tiger Abby Baker was 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and one run scored. Lilly McGee was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. Madison Holder was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Kyleigh Baker was 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. Emy Olds was 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Amelia Bennett was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Cloe Morgan was 0-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Addison Tucker was 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.
Lady Rebel Aurora Johnson was 1-for-2 with a home run. Kynadie Brown was 1-for-2. Maggie Hall was 1-for-3. Danie Parker was 0-for-1 with a walk.
Madison Holder earned the complete-game win for Central, allowing one earned run on three hits while walking one and striking out seven.
Aurora Johnson took the complete-game loss for McKenzie, allowing 11 earned runs on seven hits while walking five and striking out four.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
