Lake Halford to Temporarily Close for Paving
From the Jul 15, 2025 e-EditionJACKSON (July 11) — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) announced Friday it will implement a temporary closure of Lake Halford beginning on July 21 to conduct paving operations.
During this closure, crews will replace the existing asphalt and delineate parking spaces with painted lines, enhancing access to the lake.
The TWRA has not set a projected reopening date. As with all construction activities, the timeline for completion may be influenced by weather conditions.
Following the completion of the construction project, the TWRA will issue a public announcement regarding the reopening of the area.
