Letter: Many Thanks...
From the Apr 7, 2026 e-EditionMany thanks to everyone who helped to make the March 28th #NoKings rally in downtown McKenzie a success: Police Chief Ryan White and Jennifer Waldrup for providing guidance and information as to what was required and allowed to use Veteran's Park, McKenzie Police Department and the Carroll County Sheriff's department for assigning officers to make certain that everything remained safe, all of the drivers and passengers in the cars honking horns, flashing peace signs and bumping their fists, Dr. Roger Johnson and Deborah Norwood for co-hosting with me, the staff at #NoKings for their support, and last but certainly far from least the participants. When I began planning this I told myself that if twenty people showed up it would be successful. Thirteen people registered on the website and twenty-seven showed up. Everyone's contribution is very much appreciated!
