Lexington Slam Caps Comeback Over Fillies

The Fillies struck first with three runs in the top of the first. Lexington tied it with three in the bottom of the third. Huntingdon plated five in the top of the fourth, and the Lady Tigers pushed across one in the home half. The 8-4 score held until the bottom of the seventh, where Lexington rallied for the win.

Huntingdon's Millie Luther was 1-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. Ellie Wilson was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Aubry Castleman was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Emalynn Maness was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Marcie Mitchell was 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Camdyn Sellers was 0-for-2 with a walk, a sacrifice fly, two RBIs and a run scored. Grier Bartholomew was 0-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Gracey Martin was 0-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly. Knox Bennett was 0-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

Lady Tiger Carly Williams was 3-for-5 with a grand slam, four RBIs and two runs scored. Kaylyn Simko was 4-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. Devin Brown was 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Mekenzi Volner was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Brooklin Maness was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Lynley White was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Mekenzi Volner earned the complete-game win for Lexington, allowing eight runs (two earned) on five hits while walking two and striking out four.

Marcie Mitchell got the start for the Fillies, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 14 hits while walking two in six and a third innings. Emalynn Maness recorded one out, allowing four earned runs on three hits and a walk.
