Lifeline Blood Services September Blood Drives

Lifeline Blood Services has released its September blood drive calendar, reminding donors of its ongoing Eighth-Annual Car Giveaway.

Individuals 18 years and older who donate between May 26 and September 6 have a chance to win a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT in “Oxford White,” sponsored by Joe Mahan Ford.

Lifeline Blood Services is in critical need of Type O blood and platelet donations, though all blood types are accepted. All individuals 16 years and older are eligible to donate.

McKENZIE — Kimberly McLemore, Executive Director of the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center, addressed members of the Rotary Club of McKenzie on Tuesday, August 26, on the campus of Bethel University. McLemore, who also serves as the General Manager of the Nashville Symphony and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, shared her vision for the upcoming 2026–2027 season and emphasized the venue’s role as a community hub.

Macedonia Community Center Fish Fry Macedonia Community Center hosts a fish fry on Saturday, September 5 from 4-7 p.m.   Fairview Missionary Baptist Homecoming Homecoming at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, 1375 Fairview Church Rd, McKenzie, is Sunday, September 13. The Gospelaires sing at 10 a.m. Preaching is at 11 a.m. A fellowship meal will follow the service.
