Lifeline Opens Paris Donation Center
From the Jan 27, 2026 e-Edition
PARIS (January 22) — Lifeline Blood Services is now open in Paris. The donation center has expanded access to life-saving blood and platelet donations for patients in Henry County and the surrounding community by opening a donation center at 211 Tyson Avenue.
Community leaders, Lifeline representatives and supporters gathered in the new center Thursday morning to celebrate its grand opening and subsequent ribbon cutting.
The Paris donor center has eight donor chairs and provides a convenient location for donors to give blood and platelets that directly support local hospitals and patients in need.
“Opening this new center allows us to better serve Paris and the surrounding counties by ensuring a strong local blood supply,” said Melinda Reid, marketing manager.
“This center represents more than a new building. It represents hope, generosity and a commitment to saving lives right here. Every donation made here will help local patients in their time of greatest need, “ said John B. Miller, CEO of Lifeline Blood Services.
There is currently a critical need for all blood types, and volunteers are encouraged to consider donating platelets as well.
Operating hours for the Paris donor center are:
- Sunday through Tuesday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Wednesday and Saturday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Thursday and Friday: Closed
No appointment is necessary for whole blood donations. Platelet donation appointments may be scheduled by calling 731-427-4431, ext. 271.
Lifeline Blood Services has donation centers in Jackson, Dyersburg and, now, Paris. It has served the West Tennessee region for over 75 years, supplying 16 hospitals with whole blood, platelets and plasma. Lifeline encourages all eligible individuals to donate blood or platelets and be a part of this life-saving mission.
