50 Years Ago — Bob Trammell, Bill Rogers, and John Forgy played in the Hee Haw and Howdy Show at the Bethel Fine Arts Building.
* Olivia Newton-John performed at the University of Tennessee Martin.
75 Years Ago — Tri-County Motor Co. showed how V-8 Ford trucks worked in the oil fields.
* Fashion Shoe Store put an ad for Red Goose Shoes in the newspaper. The ad promised the shoes could stand active wear while sweetly styled to win the hearts of little girls.
