McKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Mandy Rae Sullivan Brewer were Friday, May 29, 2026, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment was at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Some people leave footprints on your heart that can never be replaced, and Mandy Sullivan was one of those people.

Mandy Sullivan, born July 16, 1977,  died peacefully on May 24, 2026. Mandy lived life with purpose, passion, and adventure. She loved to travel, explore the world, and pour into others through missions and teaching opportunities across the globe. Mandy served as a missionary teacher in Venezuela for two years and in Singapore for one year, dedicating her life to helping others and sharing the love of Christ. She also went on mission trips to Spain to teach English, traveled deep into the Amazon Rain Forest alongside medical mission teams, and served in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

No matter where life took her, she carried kindness, compassion, and the love of Jesus with her everywhere she went.

Mandy loved sports of all kinds — from driving a dirt track stock car to coaching softball and encouraging those around her to believe in themselves. She was also a true science geek at heart, always fascinated by learning how and why things worked the way they did. Her curiosity for life and passion for knowledge made her an incredible teacher and mentor to so many students over the years.

Mandy taught at Trinity Christian Academy, Carroll Tech Special School District, West Carroll, Bradford, McKenzie, and Bethel University. Whether in a classroom, on a mission field, or simply in conversation, she had a gift for teaching, encouraging, and inspiring others.

Mandy had a heart for people. She listened without judgment, encouraged without hesitation, and somehow always knew the right words to make even the hardest situations feel lighter.

If you knew Mandy, you knew her smile. You knew her laugh. You knew her presence could fill a room with comfort and joy. She stood firm in what she believed, but above everything else, Mandy loved Jesus and wanted everyone she met to know Him too. One of her favorite verses was Acts 20:24: “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

Even after death, Mandy continued giving to others through organ donation — one final act of selfless love that perfectly reflected the way she lived her life: always putting others before herself and always finding ways to help people.

Mandy leaves behind her loving parents, Harold and Deborah Sullivan; her brothers, Scotty Sullivan and Jason Sullivan (Brooke); her nephew, Jaxon Sullivan (Madi); her niece, Bracyn Sullivan (Tyler Garner); her great-nephew, Jaxton Lane Sullivan; her great-niece, Amylia Rae Sullivan; her extended family, Abbigail Teague (Bre’Juan), Emilie Huffman-Bullington (Cody), Brady Brewer, and Willow Huffman-Bullington; along with many close family members and friends who were deeply blessed by her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ira and Bonnie Sullivan, and Floyd and Peggy Inman.

Her life was a beautiful example of faith in action — loving people deeply, serving others selflessly, and living boldly. The world feels a little quieter without her laugh in it, but Heaven surely became a little louder the day she arrived.
