From the Jul 7, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mrs. Margaret Rose Hawkins, 95, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment was at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Jacob Harris officiating.
Margaret was born September 7, 1930 to the late Emmett Gale Morrison and Olive Curry Morrison. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Hawkins; one son, David Hawkins; and two sisters, Leona Ambrose and Marianna Mink.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny (Nelda) Hawkins of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Charles (Carol) Hawkins of Bells, Tennessee; one brother, Emmett Gale (Yvonne) Morrison Scottsdale, Arizona; nine grandchildren Jessica (Matt) Merrick, Hannah (Andrew) Wilhite, Charles Emmett (Jennifer) Hawkins II, Sandra (Simon) Stewart, Brian (Sensimilia) Hawkins, Raymond (Chasity) Hawkins, Daryl (Kate) Hawkins, Grace Hawkins and Fae Melinda; thirty-five great-grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Emmett Hawkins, Brian Hawkins, Raymond Hawkins, Daryl Hawkins, A B Wilhite and Matt Merrick.
