From the Jul 22, 2025 e-EditionWESTPORT, Tenn. - Mrs. Mary Ann Birdwell, 85, of Westport, died Monday, July 14, 2025, at Briarwood Community Living Center in Lexington.
Funeral services are Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
Pallbearers who will serve are Christopher Birdwell, Tom Mercier, Todd Beecham, Keith Schunk, Keith Templin, and William Birdwell.
Mrs. Birdwell was born November 11, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Frank Glaser and Mary Ann Bloominshine Glaser. She worked for GRI Corporation. She enjoyed planting flowers, taking care of children and watching hummingbirds. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Tony Glaser, Frank Glaser, George Glaser, John Glaser, and a sister, Frances Lamb.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ray Birdwell, a daughter, Suzy Mercier (Tom) of Huntingdon, a son, William Birdwell (Sherry) of Lexington, a sister, Margaret Glaser, of Lock Port, Illinois, three brothers, Steve Glaser, of Forrest Park, Illinois, Gabriel Glaser (Patty), of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, and William Glaser (Rose Mary) of LaGrange, Illinois. She also leaves two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
