Funeral services were Thursday, May 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Brother James Myers officiating.
Mrs. Holmes was born August 10, 1934, to the late Wylie Payton Adams and Floy Alene Gowan Adams. Preceded in death by son-in-law Randy Myers; brother Wylie Dean Adams; member of Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church; 27 years at Bemis Cotton Mill and life long camper.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Elma Holmes of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two daughters, Vicki Myers of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Phyllis (Bob) Todd of Jackson, Tennessee; three grandchildren, James (Michelle) Myers, Emily Myers and Eric (Brooke) Todd; great-grandchildren Noah Myers, Cole Myers, Shea Myers and Natalie Todd.
