McCulley Named Interim Director Of Athletics at Bethel University

McKENZIE — Bethel University Executive Vice President Wayne Scott announced Friday Dave McCulley is the Interim Director of Athletics at the school.

McCulley had served as Associate Athletic Director of Communications since 2022 at Bethel. McCulley has also been Sports Information Director and radio broadcaster at Bethel, positions he has held since 2010.

In 1993 McCulley served as the Sports Information Director and Assistant Athletic Director at Lambuth until 2010. McCulley was Interim Athletic Director twice at Lambuth.

During his career, he has called more than 3,000 sporting events on radio and TV. Dave is a member of the Lambuth University Athletic Hall of Fame and the Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame.

Dave married Peggy McCulley who died in May of this year. McCulley resides in Jackson, Tennessee. His son, Jeremy lives in Nashville, and his daughter, Laura resides in Jackson.
