McKenzie Athletes Qualify for Track and Field Sectionals
From the May 5, 2026 e-EditionMcKenzie High School track and field will be well-represented at the West Tennessee Class A Sectionals on Friday, May 8 at Halle Stadium in Memphis with 13 athletes qualifying in various events.
On the line will be spots in the TSSAA Class A/AA State Track and Field Championship on Tuesday, May 19 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
McKenzie's sectional qualifiers include:
Kaydence Barksdale - Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x100m
Avery Cantrell - 4x100m
Sophie Dameron - 400m, 4x800m
Katelyn Essary - Discus
Autumn Haywood - 800m, 1600m, 4x800m
Nariyah Robinson - 4x100m
Bella Sass - 400m, 4x800m
Natalia Taylor - 4x800m, 4x100m
Amia Thomas - 4x100m
Abigail Wallace - 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 4x800m
Carter Chow - Triple Jump
TJ Johnson - Discus
Shane Novacs - 400m, High Jump
