MEMPHIS (July 17) — The Ronald McDonald House Charities of West Tennessee and Northeast Arkansas recently recognized the McKenzie community for its contributions through the McDonald's Round-Up program.
During the first half of 2026, the McKenzie community raised a total of $4,459.22 for the Ronald McDonald House through the Round Up program.
According to the organization, at least 24 families from Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties have traveled to Memphis for pediatric cancer treatment. While in Memphis, the Ronald McDonald House served as their home. They received meals and various family services that offered them relief during some of life's most difficult moments.
This year, the Ronald McDonald House Charities pledges to serve even more families with the opening of a new Ronald McDonald House in Jackson.
Families who live over 30 miles from the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis or Jackson can utilize the House for free while their child is receiving treatment.
“Ronald McDonald House West Tennessee and Northeast Arkansas is truly blessed to not only have McDonald’s as its forever partner, but the McKenzie, Tenn., team's efforts and the community’s participation in Round Up for the House are positively impacting lives and helping us serve families with children who are ill or injured," said Jill Crocker, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of West Tennessee and Northeast Arkansas. "We are so thankful for their partnership and leadership in raising money and awareness for Ronald McDonald House.”
To support families from around the world, the Ronald McDonald House asks the community to round their McDonald's order totals up to the nearest dollar when placing an order through the app or at the kiosk, counter or drive-thru. Spare change may also be dropped in any of the donation boxes in the restaurant or drive-thru. Funds from McDonald’s Round-Up Program support the Ronald McDonald House mission to provide a home for sick children near the care they need with the family they love.
The Ronald McDonald House offers care for families with children who are ill or injured. The vision is to provide a place where families have what they need to ensure the best health outcomes for their children. The House provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare. These services are always free of charge and help support the mission to keep children near the care they need with the family they love.
