McKenzie City Council to Discuss Annexation
From the Jan 6, 2026 e-EditionThe McKenzie City Council meets January 8 at 6 p.m. At the top of the agenda is Resolution 25-005 — the annexation of a property located near the intersection of Old Highway 22 and Thorndale. If the annexation is approved, this will lead to the following items to be voted on: Ordinance # 576 — providing a Municipal Zoning Plan for the annexed property and Resolution 26-001 — Adoption of a Plan of Service for the annexation.
Other items on the agenda include a discussion / approval to proceed with reconstruction of the park pond’s water capacity; a proclamation honoring the McKenzie High School Band; and a resolution honoring Joel Washburn for his time with the McKenzie Industrial Board.
Prior to the meeting at 5:30 p.m., there is a workshop discussing possible changes at the water treatment facility.
