McKenzie Students Receive Free Admission to Sporting Events
From the Aug 12, 2025 e-EditionMcKENZIE (August 5) — Following in the footsteps of several local schools, the McKenzie Special School District announced Tuesday that its students can attend all 2025-26 regular season home sporting events for free.
In August’s school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Justin Barden said the district had to reposition some funds to make this long-awaited feat possible.
“We hope that this will encourage families to attend a variety of sporting events and support our Rebel athletes all year,” said Dr. Barden. “This is hopefully something we can continue to do.”
All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for admission. Free admission only applies to students.
