Rebel Football in Preseason Action This Weekend
From the Jul 28, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE — It's football time in McKenzie this weekend as both the high school and middle school host preseason action.
McKenzie High School hosts Obion County Central for a scrimmage Friday, July 31 at 6 p.m. at Bethel University's Walter Butler Stadium.
McKenzie Middle School hosts its annual jamboree on Saturday, August 1 at 5 p.m. at Rebel Stadium, featuring 12 teams playing two half-field scrimmages simultaneously.
MMS Jamboree Schedule
5 p.m. — Lexington v. Milan; McKenzie v. Greenfield
5:45 p.m. — Lexington JV v. Milan JV; McKenzie JV v. Greenfield JV
6:30 p.m. — Henderson North v. Milan; Waverly v. Gibson Co.
7:15 p.m. — West Carroll v. Gleason; Dresden v. Camden
Game times are approximate.
The MMS regular season begins Thursday, August 6 as the Rebels host Union City at 6:30 p.m.
MHS hosts Lexington for a final home scrimmage on Friday, August 7 at 6 p.m., again at Bethel.
The high school Rebels close their preseason Friday, August 14 at the Henry County High School Jamboree against McCracken County at 7 p.m.
MHS begins the regular season Friday, August 21 at Huntingdon. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
