McKenzie Homecoming is Friday

McKenzie High School celebrates Homecoming this week, culminating Friday night with the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and the home football game against Perry County.
Students and teachers have a full week of fun as each day has a dress-up theme: Minion Monday, Tuesday - PJ Day, Wednesday - Wear Pink, Thursday - Anything but a Backpack and Friday - Rebel Gear.
Friday, the entire community is invited to join in on the fun. A Homecoming parade begins downtown at 12:30 p.m. and continues past the middle and elementary schools, ending at Rebel Stadium.
Grand Marshals for the parade are John and Karen Camp.
The McKenzie High School Alumni Association hosts a tailgate for alumni at the stadium beginning at 4:30 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., pregame festivities begin at Rebel Stadium with the crowning of the Homecoming Queen. Members of the court include Anna Weatherford, Lydia Pate, Allie Walker, Kortnee Brown and Reese Carroll.
Kickoff of the football game is 7 p.m.
Following the game, the City of McKenzie hosts a Block Party on Broadway from 9-11 p.m. with music, dancing and food trucks.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items. The setting at Paris Landing State Park provides visitors with great views while shopping. There will also be food and beverage vendors, as well as a petting zoo. Admission and parking are free.
