McKenzie, Huntingdon, Martin Headed to State Football Championship

TENNESSEE — November 28, 2025 —  Two Carroll County teams — McKenzie High School Rebels (TSSAA Class 1A) and Huntingdon High School Mustangs (Class 2A) — are both headed to the state prep football championships in Chattanooga after winning the semifinal rounds on Friday, November 28. And to add to the Highway 22 connection, Martin Westview in Weakley County is headed to (Class 3A) championship

McKenzie (13-1) dominated Fayetteville Tigers in McKenzie by a score of 39-0. McKenzie will face South Pittsburg Pirates. McKenzie will make its fourth appearance in the past five years. Game time is Friday, December 5, 3 p.m. EST, or 2 p.m. CST at UT-Chattanooga.

McKenzie school is dismissed on Friday to allow Rebel fans to attend the game.

Huntingdon faced its regular-season and postseason rival, the Milan Bulldogs, in a battle to the end in Milan. The final was 35-34. Huntingdon plays Marion County on Saturday, December 6, 3 p.m.

Martin defeated Covington 40-34 to advance to the championship game at 10 a.m. EST on Friday.
