McKenzie Memorial Library October Events
From the Oct 14, 2025 e-EditionThe McKenzie Memorial Library hosts several aptly themed events during the month of October, offering special spooky programs for attendees of all ages.
During “Monster Masquerade,” Monday, October 20, attendees will make masks “fit for a monster” using paint, gems and glitter. This event is open to all ages and begins at 4 p.m.
The library offers a special “potion brewing” program Thursday, October 23, at 4 p.m. — the same day as McKenzie’s annual Boo Bash. During this event, attendees will make sensory potion bottles that glitter and shift when shaken.
“Spooky Scary Skulls” is Tuesday, October 28, at 4 p.m. During the program, attendees will decorate a foam skull that they can also take home.
To celebrate Halloween and close out the month of October, the library hosts “Scary Stories in the Dark” for children Friday, October 31, at 4 p.m. At the event, attendees will receive mini flashlights and listen to scary stories.
The McKenzie Public Library is located at 15 Broadway Street in McKenzie, Tenn. The library is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
