From the Jul 28, 2026 e-EditionShoplifting — Alyssa Parkins, Forest Drive, Martin, was charged with Theft of Merchandise on July 24.
Officer Darren Davis was dispatched to E.W. James and Sons Supermarket, where Parkins was accused of entering the store, ordering three breakfast plates from the deli, and then walking out without paying for the food, valued at $39.44. The in-store surveillance camera footage indicates the theft. Parkins was summoned back to the store, where she stated she failed to pay for the food. She was charged with theft.
