McKenzie Police Reports
From the Dec 10, 2024 e-EditionTheft of Merchandise — Shawn Tyrone Roy, 53, Birmingham Lane, McKenzie was charged with Theft of Merchandise on December 4.
Officer Bryan Batchelder filed a report stating that Roy entered Eagle Food Mart and took $8.99 in store merchandise without paying. A store surveillance camera videoed the incident. Roy was banned from the store and charged, as noted.
Driving While Suspended — Quince Allen Glasgow, Jr., 38, Winchester Street, McKenzie was charged with Driving While Suspended on December 5.
Officer Dustin McClure was stationed at a crosswalk with pedestrians attempting to cross the street when Glasgow reportedly failed to yield at the stop. A traffic stop indicated McClure’s license was suspended. He was cited into General Sessions Court.
Driving on Revoked License — Travis Bruce Nunn, 27, Cherrywood Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on Revoked and Display of Registration Plate on December 4.
Officer Dustin McClure stopped Nunn’s vehicle because it did not have functioning lights on the registration plate. A check of Nunn’s license revealed the revoked status due to a prior DUI conviction. Nunn was transported to Carroll County Jail and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Criminal Trespass — Kenneth W. Payne, 39, Walnut Avenue, McKenzie was charged with Criminal Trespass on December 2.
Officer Dalton Raspberry arrested Payne on Walnut Circle in the McKenzie Housing Authority, where he had a ban from the complex. Raspberry transported Payne to Carroll County Jail.
