From the Sep 2, 2025 e-EditionDriving on Suspended License-Third Offense — Dillon Edward Ray Gregory, 31, Park Cove, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on Suspended License and Violation of Financial Responsibility on August 25.
Officer Dustin McClure observed Gregory driving in reverse on Park Cove. Gregory advised that he was returning to his house to retrieve his license. A check on Gregory’s license revealed the suspended status. He also could not verify any insurance. He was cited into General Sessions Court.
Simple Possession — Laura Jean Nichols, 36, Hopewell Street, Gleason, was charged with Simple Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop on August 29.
Officer Dustin McClure observed Nichols’ vehicle cross the center line several times before making the traffic stop. The officer questioned Nichols which led her to admit one marijuana cigarette was in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe, a pill bottle with someone else’s medicine, fake urine sample and a warmer for the urine. She was cited into Henry County General Sessions Court.
Harassment, Disorderly Conduct — Christopher J. Stewart, 45, Donnell Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Harassment and Disorderly Conduct on August 29.
Officer Timothy Dillon responded to a business where Stewart had entered and created a verbal disruption aimed at one of the employees. A verbal order to ban him from the store was issued in June. An official written ban was issued following the August 29 event.
Speeding, Simple Possession — Guy Thomas Wyatt, 22, Bells, Tenn. was charged with Simple Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding on August 29.
Officer Dustin McClure observed Wyatt’s vehicle traveling at 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. He also witnessed the window tint was too dark. A traffic stop resulted in Wyatt admitting to some illicit drugs in the vehicle. He was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule 6, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding, and Violation of Window Tint. He was cited into Carroll County Jail.
Violation of Probation — Stacy R. Hillard, 50, Oaklawn Drive, McKenzie, was arrested on August 26 when MPD officers served a search warrant on the charge of Violation of Probation. She was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Contempt of Court — Russell Eugene Townes, 58, Walnut Circle, McKenzie, was arrested on an outstanding Contempt of Court warrant on August 29. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Criminal Trespass — Maurice Lawrence, 32, McKenzie, was charged with Criminal Trespass on August 28. He was inside one of several businesses in which he is banned in McKenzie. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
