From the Nov 25, 2025 e-EditionDUI — Eugene M Cummings, 59, Germantown, Tenn., was charged with DUI, Implied Consent on November 22.
Officer Jayden Rembert observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway for no apparent reason; it then advanced, activated a turn signal without turning, and continued in the middle of the roadway. Officer Rembert administered a field sobriety test and arrested Cummings on the DUI-First Offense charge. He was transported to Carroll County Jail after refusing a blood-alcohol test.
Driving on Revoked License — Zareya Venae Webber, 25, Park Cove, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License after a verbal altercation with a school bus driver on November 21.
Officer Timothy Dillon was dispatched to Cedar Street, where a verbal altercation was taking place between a school bus driver and Webber. After conversing with Webber, the officer determined her license was revoked and cited her into General Sessions Court. The bus driver was permitted to leave the scene.
Driving on Canceled License — Theodore Arnes Grant, 32, Jackson, was charged with Driving on a Canceled License on November 21.
Officer Timothy Dillon observed a box truck partially off the road at the intersection of Cedar and Walnut. A check with the driver determined the canceled status. He was cited into General Sessions Court.
Domestic Assault — Damion L. Byrd, 24, Hamilton Street, McKenzie was charged with Domestic Assault on November 19.
Officer Billy Burson arrested Byrd after Byrd’s live-in girlfriend accused him of assaulting her. She stated he also had a protective order filed by his ex-girlfriend in another state from an assault.
MPD arrested Byrd and transported him to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Suspended — Tierra S. Diggs, 40, Nashville was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on November 22.
Officer Steven Scott stopped Diggs’ vehicle for a display of plate violation. He learned of the suspended status resulting from a conviction for prior convictions of driving on a revoked/suspended/canceled license in Carroll County General Sessions. She was arrested for Driving on Suspended - third offense and cited for Display of Registration violation.
Criminal Trespass — Maurice Lawrence, 32, McKenzie, was charged with Criminal Trespass after he was lying in the floor at Wyatt’s Coin Laundry and harassing a customer on November 20.
Officer Jackson Henderson arrested Lawrence for Criminal Trespass because the owners of the laundry had issued a ban notice against Lawrence.
