Driving on Suspended License — Ryan Tyler Milenski, 29, Cedar Street, Gleason was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Violation of the Light Law on February 26.

Sergeant Darren Davis stopped Milenski’s vehicle for a inoperable headlight and discovered he was driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited into General Sessions Court.

Carrying a Weapon on School Property — A student at McKenzie Middle School was charged with Carrying a Weapon on School Property after it was discovered he had a pocket knife in his possession during the day on February 25.

Officer Colton Broyles was dispatched to MMS where one student reported the suspect had a pocket knife. The suspect said he gave the knife to someone else to dispose of it, according to the juvenile suspect. Because of the confession and evidence, the student was charged with the crime.

Simple Possession, Tampering with Evidence — Two subjects were arrested after a traffic stop on February 27 on charges of Tampering with Evidence, Drug Paraphernalia and Simple Possession or Casual Exchange.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped a car driving by Jordan M. Cason, 21, Lebanon, Tenn., for a window tint violation. A passenger Oziel Aaron Hernandez, 20, of Memphis was also arrested. Officer McClure stated he witnessed a ‘wad’ of rags thrown from the vehicle out the passenger window. The officer said he could smell marijuana inside the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle produced what is believed to be marijuana shake and a brown jar that had a roach containing a green leafy substance. Both subjects were transported to Carroll County Jail and charged as noted above. Cason was also cited for window tint violation.

Burglary — A young male and female adult are suspects in a Burglary and Theft from Premier Furniture in downtown McKenzie on February 24.

Officer Dalton Raspberry responded to the former Williams Furniture Company, where a box truck had been entered, women’s clothing located in the cargo area, and the dash of the truck damaged. A bloody paper towel was also located. A Dewalt drill was also determined to be missing.

Employees believe it was a former male employee and his female friend, both of whom are now homeless.

Outstanding Warrant — Michael Antonio Gilbert, 41, Magnolia Avenue, McKenzie, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on March 1.

Sergeant Cody Coleman observed Gilbert walking. The officer was aware of the active warrant out of Weakley County. Gilbert was transported to the Weakley County line where he was placed in the custody of Weakley County officers.
